The Safety Gate provides robust and reliable fall protection for ladderway openings and platforms.
It prevents people from accidentally walking directly into an opening
and guarantees full safety for people working on platforms. It is a self closing gate that does not operate by means of springs, bearings or electrical parts and hence is maintenance free.
After opening the gate, it will always swing back to a closed position. The design of the hinge forces the gate to rise slightly when opening and then falls back to its original position by gravity when released again. The swing direction is determined by the direction of the gate when pushed away when moving from the ladder onto the platform.
Simple installation of the Safety Gate dramatically increases worker safety and reduces maintenance costs. Over 15% of all labour accidents in Europe are directly caused by people falling off a platform or ladder (Based on figures published by Eurostat).
Safety Gates are available in either a Single Bar or Double Bar configuration with a variety of 'off the shelf' lengths. The gates may also be easily cut to the exact required length during installation.
