|---|---|---|---|
Type O
Orthophthalic Polyester |
Moderate corrosion resistance and fire retardant, flame spread rating ASTM E84 Class 1,25 or less, operating temperature between -50℃ and 100℃.
Such gratings are perfect for use in water/wastewater or air-conditioning applications, light industrial applications and in the wave zone areas of offshore platforms where the environment is moderate. Although Type O is the least chemical resistant resin, it still offers superior performance to traditional flooring products such as steel, aluminum and wood and is the most economical resin available.
Type I |
Isophthalic Polyester
Industrial grade corrosion resistance and fire retardant, flame spread rating ASTM E84 Class 1,25 or less, operating temperature between -50℃ and 105℃.
Can be used in an environment where there are mid concentrations of inorganic acid, inorganic alkali etc.
Type F |
Food grade Polyester
Food grade corrosion resistance and fire retardant, operating temperature between -50℃ and 105℃.
Used in food processing plants or drinking water plants.
Type V |
Vinylester
Superior corrosion resistance and fire retardant, flame spread rating ASTM E84 Class 1,25 or less, operating temperature between -50℃ and 110℃ |
Can be used in highly corrosive environments.
Type HV |
High Flame Resistant Vinylester
Superior corrosion resistance and enhanced fire retardant, flame spread rating ASTM E84 Class 1,10 or less, operating temperature between -50℃ and 110℃. Passed assessment from ABS(American Bureau of Shipping).
Can be used in highly corrosive environments where a higher flame resistance is specified.
Type P |
Phenolic
Low smoke and superior fire resistance, flame spread rating ASTM E84 Class 1,5 or less, smoke developed index 0, operating temperature up to 180℃.
Can be used in areas where fire resistance, low smoke and low toxic fumes are critical e.g. underground |
Colours:
While standard stock colours are grey or green, it is possible to manufacture the grating to special order in any colour at the customer's request with lead times as little as 8-10 weeks. This is achieved through the use of pigments which are mixed into the resin during production and hence the colour remains stable throughout the life of the product. The use of colour can add a dramatic and aesthetically pleasing effect to the workplace as well as providing clear demarcation to production areas for safety & logistical reasons.

Surface Types:
There is a wealth of options available to modify the surface type of the grating panel to suit individual requirements.
Concave (standard)

When the panel is removed from the mould following the production process, it has a concave top which naturally provides a degree of slip resistance.
Gritted

In a secondary operation, the normally concave surface of the panel can be coated with a topping of high grade aluminium oxide grit which is bonded on using resin. This affords the surface enhanced non-slip properties and is particularly desirable where the grating is to be installed in slippery areas where oils or fats may be present.
Covered

The standard covering plate thickness bonded to the grating surface is 3mm, but this can be manufactured to meet the customer’s specification and take the form of either:
- Smooth Flat
- Gritted Flat
- Transparent Flat
- Chequerplate style
Micromesh

Evergrip offers a series of micromesh (minimesh) which has one quarter of the opening of regular square mesh grating. This smaller opening prevents objects as small as 1/2” (13mm) from falling through. Also, because of the close spacing of the bearing bars, it offers smooth movement for small wheeled trolleys, wheel chairs etc.
Conductive top grating

Evergrip conductive moulded grating is specially formulated with a carbon black surface, eliminating hazardous static electricity when properly grounded. Available with all resin types, the gratings are primarily used in high-tech electronic industries, munitions, arsenal manufacturing plants and other spark-sensitive environments where equipment can be damaged due to static electricity. The grating has an electrical resistance of less than 26 kilo-ohms per 300mm.
